About

BUILT IN NORWAY. TRUSTED WORLDWIDE.

Griff Aviation is pioneering the future of heavy-lift unmanned aerial systems. Based in Sykkylven, Norway, we design and build UAV platforms that combine strength, safety, and simplicity with world-class engineering.

Our products are certified to aviation standards and developed with a modular architecture that supports a wide range of payloads and mission profiles. With platforms capable of lifting 30 to 60 kilograms in challenging environments, Griff systems are built for logistics, industry, and emergency response — where reliability and resilience matter most.

All design and production are rooted in Norway, supported by a sovereign supply chain. This ensures uncompromising quality and independence, with every aircraft engineered to withstand demanding conditions and deliver consistent performance.

At Griff, we believe technology should be both functional and enduring. Our drones are built not as disposable tools, but as robust systems that redefine aerial mobility for critical operations.

Origins in flight

Restless innovation

Informed by the insights of helicopter-based filming and photography, Griff Aviation was founded in 2015 with a clear understanding of both the power and the constraints of manned aviation — and the need for safer, more flexible alternatives.

From the beginning, Griff worked closely with the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority as UAV regulations were first established, ensuring our platforms met aviation-grade requirements from day one. That foundation underpins our mission today: building heavy-lift drones, certified to rigorous standards, capable of taking on the critical work once reserved for helicopters.
